On the evening of July 7, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States Arts Festival and Youth Concert, hosted by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was held at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. Seven students from our university, hailing from China, Russia, Uzbekistan, and other SCO member countries, took part in the event.

Together with renowned young Chinese vocalists Jin Shengquan and Wang Yifeng, Kazakh singer Sadyrdin Bolat, and Kyrgyz singer Tagiyeva Elmira Ibragimovna, the students performed the songThe Next Mountains and Seas.Jaloliddin Bobojonov Muminjonovich, a student from Uzbekistan, expressed his joy at performing on such a beautiful stage alongside young artists from SCO countries. He said he enjoyed experiencing the unique performances of different SCO member states and hoped that the friendship among SCO countries would, just as the lyrics describe, transcend mountains and seas and connect hearts and hands.

By showcasing their vitality and spirit, our Chinese and international students demonstrated not only the international vision and inclusive campus culture of our university, but also contributed to strengthening mutual learning, cultural exchange, and friendship among young people from different countries.
