College of International Exchange (CIE) was founded in December 2007, co-officing with the SDUST International Office. With years of development, CIE detached itself from the International Office in January 2020 and operates independently ever since.

CIE is mainly responsible for the enrollment, registration, apartment and daily management affairs of degree international students, the training and management affairs of non-degree international students, the management and development of joint or exchange programs with international partner institutions. Presently CIE have 19 faculty members and 5 departments/offices.

CIE maintains good relationships and conducts various educational programs yearly with University of Vermont (USA), University of West New England (USA), Kuzbass State Technical University (Russia), Ansbach University of Applied Science (Germany), Chonnam National University (South Korea), Mongolian University of Science and Technology (Mongolia), Polytechnic of Malang (Indonesia), State Polytechnic of Electronics of Surabaya (Indonesia),SriwijayaState Polytechnic (Indonesia), University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka), University of Eastern Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and many others around the world.

Upholding the principle of “steady growth, standardized management, connotative development, quality and efficiency improvement”, CIE has been constantly pioneering and innovating in its commitment to developing the international education and creating an international campus culture. In the past 5 years, there is an average of more than 600 international students from more than 60 countries studying at SDUST every year. The university is one of the qualified universities to accept CSC international students. Three English-instructed courses were name “Brand Courses” by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China.

Every year, CIE organizes various traditional Chinese culture experiencing activities for international students, which attract the attention and coverage of such major national media as People’s Daily,China Daily,CCTVand many other local media.
