On September 16, over 20 foreign students from Shandong University of Science and Technology participated in the open-to-public-day event with the staff of China Resources Co., Ltd. (Qingdao). The theme of the event was “Green Development and Better Life”.

The visit was full of fun with both theory teaching on wind power and practical experience of “Wind Turbine Model Building”. Meanwhile, issues of “building difficulties and high costs of the environment-friendly wind power” were discussed during the UN simulated discussion, including students from seven different countries: China, Russia, Sri Lanka, Garner, Dominica, Congo, Yemen. Finally, accompanied by Mr. Sun Songlei, head of the wind power plant, all the foreign students visited the wind power plant and later went to experience the wind turbine on the field.

This is the third batch of foreign students who come to visit the domestic first-class wind farm.  Last year, we established a school-enterprise practice base here.Whether it is from theoretical training or hands-on practice, the cooperation with China Resources Power Wind Energy Company(QingDao)  has become an important part of the experiencing activities for the international students of our university. The international students involved all benefit a lot from this trip of public open day .

This event concentrates on the experience. The purpose is to enable foreign students to perceive on their own the concept of green development as well as the development and changes of China.
