From September to November, Chinese-Korean College Student Speech Contest was held online. SDUST won Outstanding Organization Award. Junbum Lee (Chinese name, 李俊范), a student at SDUST and a native of South Korea, took third place with a Chinese speech in Shandong division.

This year’s speech theme, 道不远人，人无异国 (Great distance cannot separate us, we all live in a united world), written by Korean scholar Chiwon Choe, appears on the packaging of surgical masks donated by China to South Korea. Sponsored by Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Chinese-Korean College Student Speech Contest promotes friendship and mutual understanding between two nations through the presentation of students.
