CIE Visit International Alumni Entrepreneurs in Qingdao
On 23rd of September, Mr Zhang Yawei, the deputy dean of CIE and his colleagues visited international alumnus Aqib Ijaz and Muloonggo Luckson who are doing start-up businesses in Qingdao. Aqib, from Pakistan, was awarded with Masters of Mechatronics Engineering in 2011, and started his own International Import and Export Company after graduation. Luckson, from Zambia, majoring in Teleommunications Engineering, graduated in 2015 and opened his International Trade Company this year.
Mr Zhang expressed concerns about their development after graduating from SDUST on behalf of the college. He also showed appreciation for both alumnus caring about the University and CIE’s continuing development, and updated them on the progress of international students recruitment, institutional improvement and alumni affairs. Mr Zhang stated that this year shall witness the 70th anniversary of SDUST, apart from celebrating the special moment of the University’s anniversary, the support and concerns from international alumni should be valued as well. CIE assisted the establishment of alumni associations in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mongolia this year. Mr Zhang expressed his sincere invitation to Aqib and Luckson to come back to join the 70th anniversary celebration.
Aqib and Luckson looked back to their good times and beautiful memories at SDUST. They are deeply inspired and moved that the CIE still cares about the alumni group. The recent development of the CIE is encouraging and fulfilling, they sincerely wish the best for the University’s 70th birthday.
