Notice on 2021 New Year Holiday and Winter Vacation

. Duration of Holiday

New Year’s Day Holiday: 3 days long, from January 1 to January 3, 2021

Winter Vacation: 51 days long, from January 9 to February 28, 2021

. Requirements for International Students during Vacations

1. Strictly implement leave request policy

(1) Students who live on campus have to report to the assistant on duty when they need to go out within Qingdao and can return on the same day; students who need to go outside of Qingdao or within Qingdao but can not return on the same day are supposed to report to the counselor for approval and should report back to the counselor right after returning to school.

(2) Students who live off-campus are supposed to reduce unnecessary outings. It is also required to report to the counselor and provide traveling details whenever they need to travel.

2. Strictly abide by the laws and regulations of PRC and the rules of SDUST

(1) Strictly abide by epidemic prevention and control regulations, cooperate with dorm supervisors for a daily temperature check, and attendance at night.

(2) Students who live on campus are not allowed to go to areas of high or middle risk or crowded places. Personal protections are needed whenever going out.

3. Strictly follow dormitory management regulations

(1) International students of other universities are not allowed to enter the dorms. Students are required to stay in their respective rooms. Staying out all night, coming back late and cohabitation of men and women is strictly forbidden.

(2) Taking drugs, gambling, fighting are strictly forbidden. Gathering and making noise are not allowed.

(3) Drinking alcohol and smoking in the dorms are forbidden. Prohibited items such as electric blankets, electric kettles, and electric heaters are not permitted to use, neither are laboratory equipment such as soldering iron and 3D printers.

(4) Students who will travel for a long time have to turn off all the electric appliances and empty their fridges.

4. Strengthening self-protection awareness

(1) Pay attention to personal safety, and be aware of financial fraud.

(2) Go to the school hospital or other qualified hospitals immediately for treatments when you feel sick or have any other symptoms.

(3) Students are responsible for personal injury and property loss caused by failure to pay insurance fees or violation of safety regulations.
