SDUST Delegation Visits Higher Education Institutions in Japan and Sri Lanka

      From October 28 to November 4, Prof. Yuan Junping, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUST,led a delegation to visit the Nagasaki University of Japan, the University of Moratuwa and the Excel Education Center of Sri Lanka.

      Prof. Yuan Junping and his delegation of four people were warmly welcomed by senior staffs of the Nagasaki University. The two sides reviewed cooperation and exchanges over the past five years,acknowledged achievements made in joint cultivation, students and faculty exchange programs,and looked forward to seeing more cooperation in the future.

      Proceedings were signed by Prof. Yuan Junping and Prof.Shigeru Katamine at the end of the meeting. During the visit, SDUST delegates communicated with the Faculty of Engineering, visited the library and the labs, and also had talks with representatives of SDUST exchange students.


Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Yuan and President Jayawardane.

       At the University of Moratuwa, President Jayawardance extended warm welcome to SDUST guests. After a brief introduction to SDUST and Moratuwa, the two sides reached a consensus on establishing a partnership with each other and conducting exchanges and cooperation in areas of joint education of undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty exchange, co-organization of international conferences, scientific research and Moratuwa’students transferring to SDUST on 2+2 model, etc. In a friendly atmosphere,a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Yuan and President Jayawardane.
