During the golden autumn season, with the air filled with the refreshing fragrance of sweet-scented osmanthus，the College of International Exchange organised the Mid-Autumn Festival party for International Students on the evening of September 30th. More than 70 international students and foreign teachers participated in this event. Teachers of International Exchange and Cooperation Department and the College of International Exchange, as well as staff of Dantian Property joined in the party to celebrate the upcoming festival with international students.
At the beginning of the party, representatives of head teachers introduced Mid-Autumn Festival's origin, development and customs to international students in Chinese, English and French. Students learned about the history of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and experienced the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture while getting a taste of various flavors of moon cakes. At the same time, colorful performances were presented by students.
The event not only helped international students experience Chinese culture, but also enhance the friendship and mutual trust between the newcomers. Manbode, a freshman from Guyana, said: “Thanks for the wonderful evening and I made many new friends.”
