In the end, Liu Yongcai from Mongolia won the individual championship by virtue of his solo dance "Grassland Sentiment", which vividly reproduced the scenes and joy of riding a steed across the grassland. Chama and other three foreign students from Sri Lanka, with "The Spirit of the Peacock", which perfectly blended the Dai dance and Sri Lanka's native dance, won the group second place with novel and smooth dancing posture. In addition, our university took all the five third-class prizes for both groups and individuals—three for groups and two for individuals. Besides, 7 program instructors have won the award of "Excellent Instructors"; four foreign students were awarded the Honorary Medal of "Friendship Messenger on the West Coast of Qingdao"; our university was awarded the Best Organizational Award.
In this contest, more than 2,000 foreign students from colleges and universities in the New Area gathered together to perform a cross-cultural feast, among which there are students from Mongolia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and other countries which joined the Belt and Road Initiative—they have experienced a splendid journey of Chinese culture. Participation in this activity is not only conducive to the students' understanding and love of Chinese culture, but also provides an opportunity to further introduce it to the rest of the world.
